The mother church of the Baptist movement in Maryland is Nanjemoy Baptist Church. The church was established in 1793, therefore making it one of the oldest and continuous Baptist Churches in the state of Maryland. Through the years Nanjemoy Baptist has planted churches in Charles, St. Mary's and Calvert Counties and sent out Pastors & Missionaries.
